Leatherface producer Christa Campbell took to Twitter to share a series of new images from the upcoming horror prequel. We have all of them available for you to check out below!
Stil no word on when the film will be hitting theatres but hopefully the wait will be over soon. We do know that the project has concluded production.
We previously reported that the film had been submitted to the MPAA and secured a classification. As it stands, the flick scored an R-rating for“strong bloody violence, disturbing images, language and some sexuality/nudity.”
In an interview with BD, Leatherface directors Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo revealed that the film has secured US distribution via LionsGate, the same studio that distributed Texas Chainsaw. They also offered a brief description as to what we can expect from the film, calling it “a brutal and nihilistic road movie that we hope will surprise and delight the fans…”
Lili Taylor, James Bloor Sam Strike, Stephen Dorff, and Angela Bettis star in the upcoming prequel, which will follow Leatherface as a young man.
The script was penned by Seth M. Sherwood. Stay tuned to the site in the coming months for more on this and the latest in horror news as it breaks!
