Coming Soon was on hand at Cinema Con and while there, one of their eagle eyed reporters caught a glimpse of the title treatment for a previously unannounced fourth chapter in the Insidious franchise. The film is currently being called Insidious: The Next Chapter.
The project is still a very long way off. And there’s no official word on exactly where the flick would pick up or exactly how it would explore The Further this time around. Leigh Whannell had previously suggested that he would be interested in looking into the time between the third film and the first. But that was an offhanded remark and is by no means a guarantee of what’s to come.
Whannell (Saw) penned the script for this third installment in the Insidious saga and also made his directorial debut on that project. It is unclear if Whannell would return to helm a fourth installment or not.
