Over the past few weeks, the cast and crew of Leatherface have been consistently, and rather helpfully, dropping juicy, on-set pics from the upcoming Texas Chainsaw offshoot, on their respective Instagram feeds, much to the delight of curious fans. And today, we have three more exciting images to share with you. The first, from producer Christa Campbell, tantalisingly, shows a young boy (Leatherface himself, presumably?), standing in a cornfield, with ‘Follow Me’ inscribed on his body in blood.
Although it’s just a tiny glimpse, the pic gives some indication of the movie’s rough, grimy imagery – something that will fit perfectly within the world of Texas Chainsaw.
Adding to this, star Jessica Madsen shared a couple of behind-the-scenes shots from night-shoots on the movie which, again, seem to showcase a nicely dark colour pallette for Leatherface.

The movie, a prequel to the hugely popular Texas Chainsaw franchise, is currently being shot in Bulgaria, with French filmmakers Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury (Inside) at the helm.
In a recent interview, Bustillo and Maury described Leatherface as “a brutal and nihilistic road movie that we hope will surprise and delight the fans…”.
Otherwise, little is known about the plot aside from a short description on IMDb:
Prequel about teenage Leatherface who escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Along the way, they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge
Jessica Madsen stars alongside Lili Taylor, James Bloor, Sam Strike, Stephen Dorff, and Angela Bettis in the upcoming prequel from a script penned by Seth M. Sherwood.
The movie is expected to see release later this year, and is being distributed by horror giant Lionsgate, but an exact date has not yet been announced. Stay tuned to the site in the coming months for more on this, and all the latest horror news, as it breaks!
