Silent Night, Deadly Night - Holiday Horror

Behind all of the bright lights, stars and ginger bread cookies is a dark world with creepy Santas! Christmas can be frightening holiday from the fat man in red suit watching you sleep and calling you naughty to the elves. This list of creepy Santas will show you a different side of good ol’ Saint Nick!

Sinterklaas from Sint
Although this isn’t the real Santa, he’s still a creepy one! This Norwegian horror follows the traditional Dutch/Belgian tradition of Sinterklaas which takes places on December 5th. In this film Sinterklaas doesn’t bring presents but instead torments children and teenagers leaving blood and guts behind. Imagine being tormented by Sinterklaas because he wanted revenge for his own murder centuries ago. Definitely not the most wonderful time of the year!

Billy from Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
I had to have Billy on this list because he’s simply one of my favorites! Silent Night, Deadly Night really lives up to its name. It goes from 0 to 100 really quick! Silent Night, Deadly Night sees a young boy watch his parents get murdered at the hands of a man in a Santa suit. Then he is raised in a orphanage where he is abused by crappy Mother Superior. As a teenager he gets a job as store clerk and all is going well until one Christmas they force him to wear a Santa suit. Well, there goes his stability! Something horrible clicks in his head and he changes into a brutal Santa Claus murdering all the naughty people.

The ‘Santa’ from Tales from the Crypt: ‘And All Through the House’
OK, so this one isn’t a film but instead an episode of Tales from the Crypt! ‘And All Through the House’ focuses on a woman who murdered her husband only to become terrorized by an escaped mental patient dressed as Santa Claus. That really put a snag on her plans since all she wanted was to get rid of her husband’s body in peace. Sheesh. Although this one is short it’s filled with tension!
