Mike Flanagan Adapting Classic Horror Novel The Haunting of Hill House as Netflix Series!

Director Mike Flanagan (Hush) is gearing up to reimagine Shirley Jackson’s novel The Haunting of Hill House as a 10-episode Netflix original series. As you may know, the tome was adapted as The Haunting in 1963 and remade (with disappointing results) in 1999. According to Deadline, the series will be a modern reimagining of the story.

Flanagan will again work with his producing partner Trevor Macy. The pair previously collaborated on Oculus, Hush, and Ouija: Origin of Evil.

No word just yet on when the series will head into production or who is being considered to star. But we will clue you in as soon as we learn more about this developing project.

The Haunting of Hill House sees a group of people moving into the notoriously haunted Hill House, in an attempt to produce definitive evidence of the existence of the supernatural.
