This creepy clip from Jessabelle sees the film’s leads digging up the remains of an infant. Come inside for a look at this recently released clip from the upcoming LionsGate film

Jessabelle finds its main character, Jessie, returning to her Louisiana hometown to take refuge in her father’s mansion. Her decision to return home results from a devastating accident that claimed the life of Jessie’s fiancé. Her return will allow Jessie to recuperate and mourn her recent loss. She quickly discover that it isn’t just the locals that are happy to see her return. There is a wicked wraith that has been lying in wait for her and the spirit has no intention of letting Jessie leave alive.

Jessabelle is written by Robert Ben Garant (Hell Baby) and directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw 3D). It stars Sarah Snook (These Final Hours) as Jessie and Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) as Preston, Jessie’s high school boyfriend.

The film was originally titled Ghosts but was later  renamed Jessabelle. It was initially slated for release in January 2014, then August 2014, but LionsGate finally settled on a November 7, 2014 release.

This supernatural thriller has a talented creative team behind it and a cast of up and comers. However, the generic sounding plot line has me a bit leery as to if the film will do anything to rise above the countless titles of similar premise released each year. Time will tel. We will keep you in the loop as more information is revealed about this title.
