Starz has just made the announcement that they will be partnering with Rob Zombie and Mila Kunis in the creation of a new horror comedy series called Trapped (No relation to the Courtney Love home invasion film of the same name). The concept for the series was created by Joey Slamon (Arrested Development). In addition to executive producing, Zombie is also attached to direct at least one episode of the project.
According to the network, “the half-hour horror comedy series takes places over a single night in the home of a wealthy family under attack by a murderous cult.”
“We’re excited to work in partnership with Rob Zombie as well as Mila Kunis and her Orchard Farm Productions associates Susan Curtis, Cami Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov on this horror comedy series,” offered Starz Managing Director Carmi Zlotnik.
Zombie recently completed production on his new killer clown film 31, while Kunis is gearing up for the release of animated horror comedy Hell and Back (October 2) to which she lent her vocal talents.
