We now have a Super Bowl TV spot from 10 Cloverfield Lane to share with you. Like the original trailer, it doesn’t reveal a whole lot. We still don’t know if the film that J.J. Abrams is calling a “blood relative” to the original film. The latest TV spot features more of Mary Elizabeth Winstead trapped in a bunker with John Goodman. But it doesn’t do much of anything to reveal what (or whom) the film’s primary antagonist will be?
I suspect that this may be a sequel set in the aftermath of what occurred in the first film. But I could be wrong. You can check it out for yourself below and make up your own mind.
This most recent TV spot seems to solidly confirm that this latest installment (whatever it may be) will not be in the found footage style of its predecessor.
This follow up is directed by Dan Trachtenberg in his feature film directorial debut and stars John Goodman (Red State), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Final Destination 3), and John Gallagher Jr. (Jonah Hex). The film will see a nationwide release in both conventional theatres and IMAX March 11, 2016.
