Wayward Pines Finds a ‘Lost Boy’ in Jason Patric

Wayward Pines - Lost Boy - Jason Patric

As we previously announced, the M. Night Shyamalan produced series Wayward Pines has been picked up for a season two. Following that announcement, we have also learned that the series will be adding Jason Patric (The Lost Boys) to its sophomore season casting roster. The series’ second season will be premiering on the Fox network this summer. According to the press release: “Patric will portray Dr. Theo Yedlin, a confident, driven surgeon whose leadership skills will prove invaluable to the residents of Wayward Pines.”

The second season will be ten episodes long and “Will pick up after the shocking events of Season One, with the residents of Wayward Pines battling against the iron-fisted rule of the First Generation. Dr. Theo Yedlin–a new resident of Wayward Pines–awakens from suspended animation and finds himself in the middle of this rebellion, as he tries to understand what Wayward Pines really is and help preserve the endangered human race.”

There has been no announcement made on which actors from the first season will be returning for season two but we will keep you apprised as we learn more. The show is adapted from Blake Crouch’s novels.

Wayward Pines first season featured an impressive cast that included Matt Dillon,  Carla Gugino, Terrence Howard, Juliette Lewis, Shannyn Sossamon, Toby Jones and Hope Davis.

The first season centers around a special agent (Matt Dillon) who travels to Wayward Pines, Idaho in search of two secret service agents that have gone missing. While there, he discovers that there is a conspiracy behind the seemingly quaint town that may stop him from ever getting out alive.

Stay tuned to the site between now and the summer for more news on the series as it is announced.
