New on Netflix: December 18th, 2020

Welcome back to New on Netflix! The streaming giant’s horror department has always been a mixed bag. However, I’d say they’ve really stepped up their game in the last couple of years with the release of amazing, essential watches. We’ve been treated to must see original programming like The Haunting of Hill House, Velvet Buzzsaw, Hush, and some of the classics we all know and love.

This week we have a short list featuring a Korean TV series!

Also See: Dollar Double Feature: Christmas Horror: Rabid (1977) and Whoever Slew Auntie Roo?

Sweet Home

Based on the webtoon of the same name by Kim Kan-bi and Hwang Young-chan, Sweet Home follows loner Cha Hyun-soo who moves into a new apartment shortly following he death of his family in an accident. Hyun-soo’s quiet life is soon disturbed by strange incidents that start occurring in his new building. As people turn into monsters, Hyun-soo and other residents try to survive. And to hold on to their humanity. Check out the debut season of Sweet Home on  Netflix December 18th!

A bona fide earthling who finds some comfort in books, movies and coffee. Lots of coffee. Has several bad tattoos and her knowledge of horror movies is probably better than yours but she won't hold it against you; it's proof that she has way too much free time. Currently in limbo but manages to occasionally crawl out of it long enough to write for Geek Girl Authority and Wicked Horror.
Have your say!
