Eight Previous Cast Members Returning For Sixth Season Of American Horror Story!

American Horror Story

This year’s Paleyfest in Hollywood closed, in the usual fashion, with a panel for FX’s hit show, American Horror Story, with series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (pictured above) giving several teasers for the upcoming season.

First and foremost, Murphy noted he is working off “two ideas at once” for the sixth season of the show, something he’s never done before.

Although he is remaining tight-lipped about the theme this time around, Murphy did mention that he and his creative theme have been heavily influenced by “the opera”. He also noted that both ideas they’re currently working off have elements of “children” involved.

The biggest news of the night, however, came with Murphy confirming that the eight cast-members of American Horror Story: Hotel who joined him at the event would all be returning for season six.

This means that the legendary Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare and Angela Bassett, along with fan favourites Sarah Paulson, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Matt Bomer, will all be coming back for another season of bloody, macabre madness.

Lady Gaga, who nabbed a Golden Globe for her portrayal of The Countess on Hotel, previously announced her return to the show, during a radio interview with Z100 in NYC.

Emma Roberts, who’s currently starring in Murphy’s Scream Queens, also said during interviews at Paleyfest that she’d be interested in returning to American Horror Story.

Season six will be shot in L.A, much like Hotel. Aside from working off two different ideas this time around, FX CEO John Landgraf also previously advised that the sixth season would be set in two time periods, mostly focused on the present day.
