The crew of popular paranormal series Ghost Adventures.

TV shows about Paranormal Investigators are all the rage, with an array of different programs to choose from. Here we list some of the most notable and exciting paranormal activity shows ever, but please let us know if you have any gems not listed below in the comments box provided!

GHOST ADVENTURES (Travel Channel) Since 2008-

Aired on the Travel Channel since October 17th 2008, Ghost Adventures is an American paranormal television series that follows amateur ghost hunting trio, Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin. This band of paranormal investigators spend the night within different locations across the world that are reported to be haunted. A quick paced, energetic show, with some leading man eye candy, Ghost Adventures could do a lot worse.

THE DEAD FILES (Travel Channel), Since 2011-

Psychic medium Amy Allan has an established sixth sense and an affinity for channeling the dead works alongside former NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi, with more than 21 years of active service. The Dead Files is an American paranormal television series that premiered on September 23rd 2011 on the Travel Channel. The partners investigate locations and properties that singles, couples, and families have reported paranormal activity. Each explore the case on their own and then link up at the end to compare notes, Amy’s sketch of something she see’s being one of my favorite parts.

HAUNTED COLLECTOR (Syfy Channel), 2011- 2013-

Haunted Collector was an American television reality series which aired on the Syfy cable television channel. Led by demonologist John Zaffis, the series featured a team of paranormal investigators who explored alleged haunted locations with the hopes of identifying and removing any on-site artifacts or objects that may be the source of the supposed paranormal or poltergeist activity.  Just like the room of objects in “The Conjuring” that Ed and Lorraine had collected over the years. On November 8th, 2013, it was announced that Syfy had cancelled Haunted Collector.

MOST HAUNTED UK (Living TV) 2002-2010, soon to be aired in August 2014-

Led by Yvette Fielding, Most Haunted was a British paranormal mystery documentary reality television series. The series was first shown on Living TV between 25th May 2002 and 21st July 2010. The program investigated reported paranormal activity in many locations in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and other countries. On 4th June 2014 it was confirmed that Most Haunted will return to TV screens on Really in August 2014, with Yvette Fielding, Karl Beattie, Fred Batt and Stuart Torevell.

GHOST HUNTERS (Syfy Channel), Since 2004-

Ghost Hunters is an American paranormal reality television series that premiered on October 6th, 2004, on Syfy. The program features paranormal investigators Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, who explore places that are reported to be haunted. The two originally worked as plumbers for a day job while investigating locations at night but have since taken to working on the show full time. It’s not my favorite but I will watch it if I catch it.

CELEBRITY GHOST STORIES (Bio and Arts & Entertaining Channel), Since 2009-

Celebrity Ghost Stories is an American reality television series that aired on Bio in 2009. Interviewing various celebrities who talk about paranormal events that have happened in their lives while showing awesome dramatic re-enactment footage of the activity they experienced, Celebrity Ghost Stories is definitely a favorite of mine.

PARANORMAL WITNESS (Syfy Channel), Since 2011-

Like Celebrity Ghost Stories, Paranormal Witness is an American paranormal documentary television series that features eyewitness accounts with scary dramatic re-enactments from everyday people who have experienced paranormal activity. The series premiered on September 7th, 2011 on Syfy but it is also shown on Really and Watch in the United Kingdom. Paranormal Witness is is my favorite paranormal program.

A Haunting is an American paranormal anthology television series that depicts eyewitness accounts of possession, exorcism, and ghostly encounters. The show aired from October 28th, 2005 on the Discovery Channel. As of June 2014, Syfy has not announced another season of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files.
