If offered the chance to change your life forever with a massive sum of cash, would you? I would definitely ask what the exact terms were more than once. Just because I am a skeptic like that when it comes to “free money”.
Directed by Daniel Stamm ,13 Sins is based around Elliot Brindle (played Mark Webber), who is a bright but meek salesman drowning in debt and desperate to get married to his fiance.
He receives a random phone call informing him that he’s on a hidden camera game show where he must execute 13 tasks to receive an excessive cash prize total.
Elliot follows through with his first two instructions and thousands of dollars start appearing in his bank account much to his delight. Elliot continues with the game but remains dubious though comforted by the knowledge that he can stop playing at any time, if he chooses to lose every penny currently won that is.
Elliot becomes trapped and manipulated by unseen spectators and his need to complete the game escalates as the tasks grow more and more extreme, to a devastating point of no return.
Out mid-April (April seems to be horror month) I’ll be taking a trip to the cinema for 13 Sins.
